Reiki.. Reiki Healing.. Reiki Training

There are three aspects to reiki training that help your reiki healing greatly.

They are 3 aspects that we feel here at reikiblogger are great for your spiritual growth in general.

Intuition

Meditation

Reiki Ideals

These are 3 things taught by Usui Sensei (pictured above) in his reiki system. They are also things taught and discussed by contemporary Reiki people such as Frank Petter and William Rand.

Intuition, I think, is really the idea of “getting a feel” for something. Something being able to function well and beautifully without conceptuality. It also has a sense of “knowingness” to it. People talk about intuitive design in all sorts of things from houses to cars to roads and towns, to computer games and consoles. They are talking about how natural something feels to the user.

Reiki ideals.. do not worry

There are 5 core reiki ideals.. as recommended by Usui Sensei.. for reiki people.

1. Do not use anger

2. Do not worry

3. Practise kindness

4. Work hard

5. Practise Gratitude

Is was the contemplation and practise of these 5 ideals that Usui suggested were the “secret art of inviting happiness and the miraculous medicine of all diseases” 1

When asked about worry His Holiness Dalai Lama (above) regularily teaches the traditional buddhist proverb about worry which says “if there is something that can be done.. there is no NEED to worry.. if there is nothing that can be done.. there is no USE in worrying.”

Worry is such an ingrained part of most of our lives that we almost dont even notice its presence. But, when we have the opportunity to get away from our normal routine.. away on holidays for example.. or off from work sick in bed for a week.. we can start to see how much background anxiety and tension we have been carrying.

Buddhist saint Jetsun Milarepa (above) famously professed his only goal was to die without regrets.

Practising the virtue of reducing doubt and worry in your mind is a spiritual practise. And one that will bring benefits not just for yourself but for all those around you.

In the modern world we are surrounded by activity. It is the entertainment culture of our time. We have come to expect constant stimulation and enjoyment as part of our daily life. One flip side of this atmosphere is that we place little emphasis on the value of quietude.. of taking time out to relax our mind.

Reiki practise.. reiki training.. daily meditation

If there is one thing I could tell you is going to help you with reiki.. it is daily meditation.

I pray that everyone reading reikiblogger is in a situation where they are able to have just 10 minutes a day of their own to sit quietly and watch their thoughts.

Most people, including me, when they started thinking about meditation.. first off.. think they should be able to stop thinking. ”Quieten their mind.” That is what I thought I was trying to do when I started doing a little bit of meditation.

Have you ever tried to get your mind not to think?

It is not very easy. In reality, your mind is up and down.. sometimes quiet and serene, sometimes volitile and full of energy.

Meditation practise.. like we talk about in reiki training, has nothing to do with whether there are lots of thoughts or none at all… wavey ocean or peaceful lake.

Daily meditation, is to help you increase the strength of your intuition for your healing practise, and to increase your natural awareness, which aids the flow of reiki and perhaps the purity with which it flows.

    History of reiki

When I was first studying reiki level 1, I was told a story about a buddhist monk in japan named Mikao Usui. Inspired by the healing powers of Jesus he went and studied in USA and received a PhD in Theology. Still frustrated that he had not uncovered the secret healing power of chirst he returned to Japan and went on a pilgrimage. During his travels he met a wise Abbot of a temple who told him to complete a traditional fasting retreat on a sacred mountain peak. Where he received in a vision the reiki healing system.

    I really liked that story.

And, it is the common western reiki lineage story. But, it is not really a very accurate reflection of the origin of reiki healing.

reikiblogger.com top 5 tips to improve your reiki healing

    #1 Give more reiki

The more often you use reiki, the clearer and more pure will be your healing. The common, although a little misleading analogy is that you are like a hose.. when you turn on the tap water runs through the hose and washes away any bits and pieces that have accumulated inside.. reiki is like the water.. you are like the hose. The more you practise reiki healing the more your system comes into balance.

    #2 Practise daily meditation

The clearer your mind, the better your intuition will be, and the more effective reiki healer you will become. Getting out of your own way is the #1 goal for a reiki person. If you are able to train your ego to behave itself and follow along, rather than it being unruly and selfish, then you will be much more able to sense guidence, from the higher self, if you are treating a person and from your own inner guide.

    What is different about Reiki..

    WHERE DOES REIKI FIT?

The interesting thing about reiki healing.. if you have a look around online.. is that people seem to have a real problem with where to put it.. Does it live in alternative medicine.. does it go in body work.. does it belong to energy healing?

    REIKI IS ENERGY HEALING

Reiki heals (or better still balances) energy. Which in turn heals the body. Your body is an energy system. Within that system are lots of other systems of energy. Emotions, thought habits, spiritual inspirations, hormones, biology.. it is all types of energy.
