#87 Carnival of Healing
Welcome to the #87 Carnival of Healing. Your weekly round up of the best healing articles posted around the blog-o-sphere. The carnival of healing is a great way to find some new articles to read, and to stumble across some great bloggers. Please feel free to check back through the carnival archives.
I really love having the carnival of healing stop by here at Reiki Blogger, because it offers an opportunity for me to broaden my perspective on healing, and gain some exposure to some ideas and parts of holistic healing that I may otherwise have not had the opportunity to learn about.
And this particular carnival is no exception, there is a diverse offering of carnies this week, and I encourage everyone to put on a pot of coffee and settle in for some good reading. Feel free to leave comments at the carnies’ sites and let them know what you thought of their entries.. I know everyone loves to feel like someone has connected with what they have written, so if it strikes a chord (good or bad) drop a quick comment and let the blogger know you read their post.. even better if you have your own blog, put up a “shout out” link to the posts you liked the best! Share the love.
First off this week we have a post from a Reiki Blogger reader JoLynn Braley which she says is about “healing the unhealthy relationship with the scale, getting off of it, and living your life!” check it out here.
John Wesley presents Fitness Experiment: 2 Weeks on the Slow Carb Diet and Going Strong posted at Pick the Brain. John’s blog is great! He writes on all things healthy with great authority and I am sure you will find tonnes of excellent articles throughout his site, well worth bookmarking and spending some time looking through.
Ananga presents 5 Ways to Master Your Emotions posted at Ananga Sivyer’s Living by Design Blog. I especially liked tip number 4 about time travel. I often hear myself saying that to our eldest son about the fact that there are no time machines. So, better to deal with the problem. Accept that what has happen, has actually happened. And get on and find the path forward (which is hard if that path involves owning up to punching your brother!).
Isabella mori presents relax posted at change therapy. I LOVED this post. I must confess I am a meditator, so it struck a chord. But, it is written in such a lovely way, and is so nice to read.
Megan Bayliss presents Imaginif: Home of the BITSS Model of Protective Behaviours posted at Imaginif…. Very thought provoking. I put this in the preventative healing section.
Karen Halls presents How to Overcome Pain Pill Addiction posted at Addiction Recovery Blog. Another good post about a serious issue. I think the opening line is very powerful.
Brandon Peele presents An Open Letter to My Parents posted at GT. Very interesting submission here. I will forewarn the sensitive reader there is a little swearing sprinkled in this post. But, again it is another very personal post written, perhaps ironically, with a very warm nature. I really liked this post, although the author almost makes it hard for you to like the post, because it mirrored many of my own feelings from days, not so long, gone by. And I wish the spiritual traveler, who is the author of this post, the very best of luck on the greatest adventure there is.
Aparna presents Home remedies for prickly heat posted at Beauty and Personality Grooming. Our kids go to a Steiner School so we love home remedies in our house. This was a new one for me.
Debra Moorhead presents What Gardening Has Taught Me About Life posted at Debra Moorhead.com. I especially liked number 6, about drinking enough water. A good friend of mine is always on about how people do not drink the right amount of water and how much it would help their energy and health if they did.
Hueina Su presents Homecoming to You: Re-connecting with Your Authentic Self posted at Intensive Care for the Nurturer’s Soul. I really liked the part about how personality traits can be either positive or negative depending on how you relate to them.
Christine Kane presents Doubt is a Drag Queen posted at Christine Kane’s Blog. This is a very interesting blogger. I would highly recommend spending some time getting to know Christine Kane. Great blog.
Raymond David Salas presents How to Make Your Life Easier posted at ZenChill.com Power Tools Blog. Ahh.. zen chill.. I love zen chill.. so close to my heart. Great carnival offering as usual. Zen Chill power tools for your life.
Craig Harper presents My Body is Not Who I am… It’s Just Where I Iive. posted at Motivational Speaker. Craig is another pro, you will get great stuff everday on his blog. There are a couple of bloggers in this carnie that can change your life, and Craig is one of them.
Pamm presents My Secret Spiritual Dance: Feeling God: The Breath posted at My Secret Spiritual Dance. Very interesting post and a beautiful picture.
Angela Lindenmuth presents Ouch, my back hurts? posted at Chiromom’s Soap Box.
Dr. Deb presents Robotic Pet Therapy posted at Dr. Deb. I liked the look of this blog, very clean design and nice feel to it. A good post and some nice pics.
And to round things off this week About.com’s very own healing blog editor Phylameana presents Curve Ball… Duck! posted at About Holistic Healing.
Well.. that is it! Thanks all for visiting. I hope you found some great posts to read and maybe even a couple of new favourite blogs to bookmark or subscribe to.. next week’s carnival will be held at MindMart.
Be Well.
TC
