Reiki and forgiveness

Forgiveness and letting go are important ideas in energy healing.Reiki greatly enhances our capacity for forgiveness, and facilitates healing of the underlying causes of physical and mental problems, which are at the heart of illness.

Also, the reason for illness is a lack of recognition. A lack of awareness and presence of our essential natural. And not being able sustain that awareness.

2 interesting Reiki questions

Also, from Reiki Digest

1. Is it possible to have a private attunement from a Reiki trainer (i.e., could you give me some or any of the Reiki 1 and 2 attunements again for a fee)?

So, I believe this question is coming from an already-attuned Reiki practitioner, and you are wondering if you can be re-attuned at level 1 and or level 2?

Among Reiki Masters and Teachers, there are different schools-of-thought about the subject of receiving additional attunements. Some believe it is unnecessary to receive additional attunements, but I believe the majority of Reiki Masters and Teachers believe that additional attunements, if requested for the appropriate reasons, can be very helpful for one’s personal and spiritual journey. Also, there is much historical information that has been recently revealed that suggests that Mikao Usui gave regular attunements or REIJU to his students.

I believe it is important to understand one’s motivation for seeking additional attunements. It is easy to become addicted to the “Reiki high” that can follow after the attunement process. Therefore, many students may only seek additional attunements for the thrill factor, in which case, no harm may be done, but the deeper function of the attunement would go unappreciated.

The purpose of the attunement is to remove the energetic obstacles that keep one from realizing his or her inherent connnection to life. If one has been committed to one’s personal and spiritual growth and using Reiki in his or her daily life, additional attunements would most likely accelerate one’s growth and healing.

If you would like additional attunements, there are teachers out there who will offer them to you! Search your own heart to learn what is best for you.

2. I can feel the energy when putting my hands on myself or an object, but when I send Reiki energy to my desires (all the desires written on pieces of paper in my box), how does sending the energy to the pieces of paper also send energy to the desires themselves? Thanks if you can clarify this.

I have often asked myself this question, as I attempt to wrap my mind around Reiki and the process of healing. The following is my current understanding of the distance-healing process.

When I send Reiki to my desires for support, healing, balance, success in projects, etc., I often feel the energy flowing within me as if I were giving myself a hands-on treatment. When I feel this flow, I intuitively know that the Reiki is working on opening and healing the places within my own being that need it in order to bring about the fulfillment of the desires that I have written on my piece of paper. Reiki is intelligent, and it understands the essence of my desires. The words on the piece of paper are merely a tool to help me become focused and set my intention. Then Reiki knows exactly where to go in order to bring a harmonious result for all concerned. So, in essence, I’m not sending Reiki to my desires; I’m sending Reiki to myself to help me manifest my desires!

When sending Reiki for your desires, requests for healing, goals, etc., observe the flow of Reiki. Tune-in to the energy and see if you can intuitively know where the Reiki is flowing. See what your own inner wisdom has to say about this mysterious process.

What do you think? What is your feeling about the distant healing process? Do you think it is better to receive ongoing re-attunements for Reiki 1 and/or 2?

Karuna Reiki

Karuna is a Sanskrit word that means compassionate action and this is not an ordinary kind of compassion, but one that comes from an unbounded sea of love. This is the kind of compassion that when combined with wisdom can take one to enlightenment. And once enlightened, all those who have followed this path are compelled by the great love that has grown in their hearts to turn their attention toward reducing suffering and helping others to become enlightened also. The beings who have followed this path and reside in this unbounded sea of love have unlimited power and at the same time unlimited kindness. They have mastered Karuna and because of this are its emissaries. They act like beacons sending unlimited healing potential into every part of the Universe.

Reiki, purifying your food to reveal its inherent spiritual healing properties

For along time now I have been wanting to have a vegie patch at home. And give lots of reiki to the vegies.

I have always thought that would not only make the vegies more tasty, but better for my energy aswell.

I remember my mum used to grow lettuces. She would always go out and water them after she had an arguement with my dad. And they were the most bitter tasting lettuces you could ever imagine.

Famous chef, jamie oliver, always talks about cooking with love.

There is no doubt it makes the food taste better. Just have a look at the people serving and preparing the food next time you go to your favourite restaurant. The more kindness in their eyes, and the more smiles on their faces, the better tasting the food. I am confident you will find a positive correlation.

Amanda thought it was a great idea.. so I am pleased to present her post below.. please leave her lots of feedback in the comments or drop her an email.

My celtic reiki path.
By Amanda

I cannot say when I first felt drawn towards Reiki as a healing art. Like my spiritual journey it seemed to grow gradually and like something which I always held an interest in. During my mid-teens I began to attend a weekly yoga class with my dad and by the end of the sessions my hands were always tingling so much that I felt as if there was energy there that needed to be released. This was perhaps the first time I truly realised my capacity to be a channel for energy.

However, although I had heard of Reiki my first experience of receiving it was nothing special. I was going through a very dark time, both physically and emotionally and my friend, who is a master in Usui and Seichem, offered to give me a session. I accepted but I was so worried about what might happen that I didn’t feel much at all. I am sure that my fears blocked my ability to receive and acknowledge the healing sent to me. It was another couple of years before I finally discovered the joys of receiving the love and healing that reiki offers.

9 distant Reiki healing tips

Here are 9 tips for better distant reiki healing. In no particular order..

# Practise hands on reiki

I am definitely one that needs to heed this advice. I have a tendency to focus on distant healing too much.. because I love it and I have seen it work really well. (I sometimes wonder if people have different propensities towards certain styles of spiritual practice.. some drawn to prayer.. some to meditation.. that sort of thing. Because, I know I am drawn to distant healing.)

But, if you want to give better distant healing.. you should give lots of hands on healing. It is the foundation of the reiki path, and although it is the focus of the first level of reiki training, it should never be considered a level you move past, or eventually have no need for. There is no substitute in reiki practice & training to hands on healing.

# Healthy diet

I have talked about this a little before. But, the healthier your diet, the healthier your energy channels, and the easier the reiki will flow. If you think about it like this.. perhaps when you received your reiki 1 empowerment, as a result you were able to give 80% worth of your potential reiki.. the last 20% comes from healthy diet, meditation, Qi Gong exercises.. anything that will improve the overall healthiness of your Nadis (subtle energy channels, through which your ki flows).

It is also a fact that the healthier your channels and then the more easy your ki flows through them, the more clear will be your mind, and the stronger will be your willpower, greater will be your dedication to spiritual practice/healing, and your intention will be healthier too.

Does Qi Gong help your Reiki?

This is something I have been pondering for some time now. And, by the way, by “qi gong” I just mean anything that has to do with internal energy training. So, I am hoping you will not mind me considering Tai Chi and Kung Fu as forms of qi gong for the purpose of this post (if anyone has any alternative or complimentary views please email me or leave a comment).

WHAT AFFECTS YOUR REIKI?

Or what affects your ability to give reiki? I think this is at the heart of the question.. and something we have talked about a little in related posts:

reiki training tips
reiki healing, training tips
reiki training, daily meditation
reiki training, 5 tips

We need to consider this from two points of view. What affects your motivation to practise or give reiki.. and what affects the quality of the reiki you give when you do practise it or give it.

Lets look at the second point first..

WHAT AFFECTS THE QUALITY OF THE REIKI YOU GIVE

This is a topic of much hoola-bal-loo in reiki circles.. and is considered sacred ground by many people.. so I really encourage to get your emotions working and agree or disagree with me here..
