Meredith, thanks for stopping by. How are you?
I was more thinking about people I know when I wrote that. I watch people dish out advice to people about the problems they are having, and feel like they have forgotten so quickly and easily how hard life can get at times. And wish they would be brave enough to sit still and look at life and what is really going on for that person right in that moment.
It is part of the trick of life, really. That we forget. I always pray that I will never forget the hard times, and the promises I made myself (about meditating more, being a better husband.. not being so lazy.. whatever..)
Time goes on, and we forget. We softly drift back into "normal" life.
Suffering is a gift. But, only if we change. Otherwise it just sux.

Well TC, you could always make some Mike's Hard Lemonade with them? So sorry things are tough for you right now. I'll send some Reiki to you when I am out & about later. :)
Take care

Thank you very much for the tips! I really appreciate them and will keep them in mind when I set out on my voyage with Reiki. I've found a possible teacher, but I'm not going to start just yet. I'm also going to read a few books beforehand. No rush at all for me, I do like to take my time with things. :)

Thanks again!

Hi Nocci.
My biggest tip would be to not be in a rush. Don't be in a rush to do a course. Make sure you find a teacher you feel confident with, and ask them as many questions as you need.
Number 2 would be, once you have done a course, try and do it (reiki) as much as you can. Try to develop the habit of using reiki in your life. Because, it is there to support you, aswell as for healing.
And, one more for the road.. be kind to yourself. The path of healing can be bumpy. Try and always be a "good" friend to yourself.

I really like that quote. I was just finding your blog by chance today as I looked around for a Reiki course. I am really interested in learning and was wondering if you had any tips for a beginner? :)

Much appreciated.

Regards,
Nocci
