Reiki and forgiveness
Forgiveness and letting go are important ideas in energy healing.Reiki greatly enhances our capacity for forgiveness, and facilitates healing of the underlying causes of physical and mental problems, which are at the heart of illness.
Also, the reason for illness is a lack of recognition. A lack of awareness and presence of our essential natural. And not being able sustain that awareness.
Getting Stuck
One of the things that takes us away from our “center” and away from our natural flow of life force energy is getting “stuck”.
When our energy is flowing naturally, we are present and open. Our minds are clear. What happens though is that things catch on our minds. We get caught by a thought, a belief, a look, a phrase.. something catches in our mind and our energy does not flow quite so freely as a result.
The truth is, this happens to all of us. And it happens alot. Many many times through each day.
The first step in getting un-stuck?
The way we can learn to get un-stuck is the practise of forgiveness. And letting go. It is a practise in kindness (Just for today I will be Kind) and it is a practice of generosity.
The first step to getting un-stuck is recognition. We first off need to become aware that we are getting caught up, that something has tripped up our ego. Something has not fulfilling our expectations about the way we think we should be treated or the way we consider events should be unfolding.
The power of forgiveness
This is where forgiveness comes in.
The gentle releasing of the energy block, and the restoration of the natural unconcious flow of life force energy, comes from being able to use our wisdom to recognise the ultimate futlilty of fighting against “what is”, fighting against what is clearly happening right now.
That is all forgiveness really is.
Acceptance with love and wisdom. Because, forgiveness is inspired by a wish for not just our own happiness, but equally wishing for others happiness aswell.
The Reiki path
In reiki practise we are striving to maintain the flow of reiki. That is the ideal we strive for, anyway.
Which in fact is nothing less that the essential nature of reality. Enlightenment.
So, it is no small goal.
The way of the reiki path is intertwined with forgiveness and letting go. We need to let go again and again, not letting ourselves get caught by childish emotions, thoughts, beliefs or expectations.
Opening ourselves to the unfolding of events in the presence of reiki and trusting in the healing process is what the reiki path is all about.
