Is reiki the same as God?

Is reiki the same as the holy spirit?

The short answer is no. Reiki is commonly translated as “universal life force energy” or “spiritually guided life force energy”. Both of these to certain people immediately start sounding like reiki comes from god, or is the energy of god manifesting in the world.

For starters I am a buddhist. lol. So, it is certainly not my area of expertise to be saying what is and is not god or the holy spirit. And feel free to leave me a comment if you have an opinion on this subject.

But, within the buddhist teachings we can certainly find alot of good information that might help us better understand our reiki path, and our reiki training. That is my hope anyway. Particularily the vajrayana buddhist (tantric buddhist) teachings originating in india and having been maintained in tibet for many centuries. Up until lately, when they have once again headed back to india.

Reiki is a manifestation of our essential nature. It flows from the source and result of our eventual enlightenment.

What most people that approach spiritual truth through systems that contain god and the holy spirit (I know, trust me, I know.. there are lots of ministers in my family line) find difficult is reconciling how god can be more than one.

Which ofcourse he cannot be. But, he can manifest in more than one way. That is the contradiction. And the truth.

Reiki is one example of truth manifesting as spiritually guided force. And that force affects the flow of ki (life force energy) allowing it to flow more freely, and better (for want of a better way of describing it) and as a result of our conscious intent to practise the style of meditation which is reiki, we end up also increasing our awareness.

Reiki is its own unqiue style of spiritually originating and guiding force. Which is very comfortable for a practising tibetan buddhist, because there are 100’s (maybe 1000’s for all I personally know) of such forces that people can gave empowerment/blessing in and practise.

But, for others, who come with an idea that God has only two styles of manifestation, JC and the holy spirit, it might be a little harder to wrap my head around.

Getting back to the original point of the post, is reiki the same as god and the holy spirit? I am going to say now that it is in fact the same as God in the ultimate sense. But, not the same as the holy spirit in the relative sense.
