Reikiblogger’s reiki..
I thought it might be important just to clarify a little about what style of reiki we are trained in (my wife and I).. because there are certainly alot of different schools of reiki out there.
The reason I think this is a good idea is?to promote?transparency. I think it is important to know the things that influence the way we approach reiki and reiki issues.
I am really torn at the moment about my reiki path. To be perfectly honest. I have a very clear notion about how I naturally practise reiki. And how I perform my service to reiki and reiki healing. And it is a very simple style. Not very conceptual.
When I give a treatment I prefer not to discuss anything that comes into my mind with the person I am treating.. unless it is very simple and clear. But, I would rarely, these days, put that on the person.
I really strongly believe in people absorbing their own experience and understanding from situations and treatments. For example, with childrens stories, I think it is much better to simple tell your children the story and let them absorb its meaning and let that soak into their energy in their own way.. leaving off the moral of the story discussion.. the conceptualisation at the end.. that is sooooo tempting! to do.
Anyway.. (I think I got a little distracted) essentially my wife and I are trained in the commen western lineage. It is just that simple. We were taught that Usui was a buddhist who was inspired by the healing power of christ and went off on a mission to learn the way of healing.
You can find our resources to some more accurate information about reiki’s origins here. Although, the more we study and the more we practise, that is by far not the whole story and I encourage you to continue to check back as we expand reikiblogger over the coming months with more and more reiki information.
Which I guess brings me back to the original point of feeling torn in my reiki path.
I think it is important here at reikiblogger for people to be able to find lots of information about reiki as a “whole”. Not just what Tupten Choepel and Donyo Khadro know and practise. Because this is not what we are doing the site for. This site is not here for us to?try and get people to come to?our healing house.
It is here to post free and thoughtful information about reiki and reiki issues.
It is here for people to have a place to go to, when they want to think about reiki, when they want to be near reiki.. in its completeness.
